About the Role

As Teacher of Maths you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to A-Level Maths depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:

• Fluency and accuracy in core mathematical skills

• Reasoning through structured questioning and explanation

• Problem-solving through guided practice and gradually increased challenge

• Exam confidence through modelling purposeful practice and precise feedback

You will support learners with a range of starting points using effective scaffolding for those who need it while providing stretch and challenge for higher attainers.

The Maths Department

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

• Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

• Deliver well-structured lessons with clear explanations and high expectations

• Use assessment effectively to identify gaps and secure progress

• Build positive relationships and maintain a calm purposeful classroom culture

• Work collaboratively within a supportive Maths team
