About the Role
As Teacher of History you will teach across KS3KS5 delivering engaging well-structured lessons that develop both historical knowledge and key disciplinary skills.
You will deliver lessons that:
Build deep substantive knowledge across a range of periods and themes
Develop disciplinary thinking including causation significance change and continuity
Strengthen source evaluation and interpretation through structured practice
Improve extended writing through modelling scaffolding and deliberate practice

Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Hold a degree in History or a closely related subject
Hold QTS (e.g. PGCE School Direct) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have the ability to teach History confidently to GCSE and A-Level
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to academic standards
Deliver engaging well-structured lessons that stretch and support pupils
Contribute positively to departmental planning and wider school life
Have the legal right to work in the UK
