To be pro-rated based on the total package and work pattern for a full-time Physiotherapist II depending on the work hours.

To provide physiotherapy intervention independently and to participate actively in
II. Key Result Areas/Job Description
1. Patient Care Process
a) Conduct comprehensive assessment on patient for problem identification and treatment planning.
b) Provide physiotherapy in a timely and effective manner.
c) Provide post-discharge community physiotherapy as continuous service to facilitate community-based rehabilitation whenever indicated.
d) Empower patient and carer by patient education and home based physiotherapy program.
e) Liaise with other healthcare team members by participating in ward rounds case conference or clinical meetings to enhance total patient care in a multidisciplinary approach.
f) Take into patients psycho-social aspect as part of the caring process for his/her physical rehabilitation.
g) Update documentation and focus on outcome-measures for evidence-based practice and service improvement.
2. Resources Management (Service Planning & Development)
a) Plan and arrange work in a systematic way to produce effective results.
b) Organize and evaluate therapeutic intervention for direct patient care.
c) Review the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered for effectiveness and efficiency based on predetermined criteria.
d) Assist in the development of service operations policies and procedures.
e) Collect relevant clinical data and provide necessary information from daily operation to facilitate resource management and clinical research.
f) Supervise supporting staff to ensure smooth clinical operation for effective patient care.
3. Quality & Risk Management
a) Assist in the development of treatment protocols clinical guidelines and procedures within his/her clinical capacity.
b) Participate in on-going quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
c) Ensure performance comply with legal requirements occupational safety and health requirements policies procedures and practice standards.
4. Knowledge and Skills
a) Demonstrate professional and ethical conducts in all job-related activities.
b) Enhance working relationship with colleagues to assure intra- and interprofessional teamwork.
c) Upkeep of clinical knowledge professional skills practice & trend.
d) Communicate effectively both in verbal and written forms.
5. Training & Development
a) Participate in a cluster-based structured program for extensive clinical experiences as entry-level physiotherapist in the first 3 to 5 years.
b) Upon continuous physiotherapy service in HA he/she should begin to pave way for professional specialization for career escalation.
c) Active participation in continuous professional education to keep abreast of relevant professional development technology and research.
d) Present when appropriate in case discussion / in-service training / Journal Club of related settings.
e) Conduct training course and on-job training to supporting staff.
f) Contribute to the clinical education of physiotherapy students when required.
Entry Requirements:
1. A degree in Physiotherapy from a local university or equivalent; and
2. Be a registered Part Ia /Ib (full registration) Physiotherapist and have a valid Practising Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.

1. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.
