Job Summary
Qualifications:
- DOE Certification Requirements (including volunteer coaches) must have one of the two certifications:
- New Jersey Teachers Certification
- New Jersey Instructional Substitute Credential (30 College Credits)
- Proof of experience required for Substitute Certificate holder.
- Coaching experience preferred but not required.
- Must be available daily during the winter sports season.
- All coaches must hold a current (valid) adult CPR/AED and Basic First Aid Certification.
- All courses that the DOE approves for certification are acceptable.
- All new coaches (starting 2007-2008 school year) must complete the NFHS Fundamentals of CoachingCourse before their first employment as a coach. This course is a one-time requirement.
- All coaches must complete the NFHS Concussion in Sports Course renewed annually.
- All coaches must complete the NFHS Heat Illness Prevention Course renewed annually.
- All coaches must complete the NFHS Implicit Bias Course. This course is a one-time requirement.
- All coaches must complete the BeNice Program. This course is a one-time requirement.
- Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Pending budget availability.
- All postings are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled.
