About the Role:

You will assess negotiate and underwrite new and renewing property business to contribute to targeted portfolio performance. Working closely with brokers and colleagues across underwriting distribution and risk teams you will help deliver consistent highquality decisions and strong customer experiences.

What Youll Do:

• Underwrite new and renewal business using underwriting guidelines tools and processes so you can support strong portfolio outcomes and meet customer needs
• Review policy performance and apply underwriting actions that improve risk quality pricing alignment and product suitability
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with brokers by understanding their approach and offering clear and balanced commercial solutions
• Collaborate with senior underwriters technical specialists and state teams to support decision making and ensure consistent underwriting practice
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes or simplify the underwriting workflow to enhance customer and broker experience
• Contribute to team learning activities as part of the Underwriting Faculty to grow your capability and broaden your delegated authority.

What Youll Bring:

• Experience in the insurance market and the ability to apply underwriting frameworks to assess risk and recommend balanced outcomes
• Understanding of insurance products market dynamics and reinsurance structures and confidence in discussing terms and decisions with brokers
• Ability to identify risk exposures interpret reports engage with brokers and risk engineers to support improvements
• Effective communication skills that help you adapt to different audiences and negotiate clearly and respectfully
• Curiosity about the underwriting marketplace and a desire to build relationships learn from peers and strengthen your industry presence
• A comfortable approach to adapting with team support supported by structured onboarding and clear expectations.
