Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Texas State Teaching Certification (required)
- Masters Degree (required)

- Extensive knowledge of current researchregardingeffective practices in curriculum and instruction
- Extensive knowledge of assessment practices and ways to use data to inform instruction and staff learning
- The ability toestablishmeasurable outcomes and backwards-plan toward the
- Successful implementation of a work plan
- A demonstrated ability to produce host and deliver best-in-class professional development and implementations supportutilizingvarious multimedia formats

Experience:
- Three or more years supporting administrators and teachers
- Five or more years of classroom teaching experience
- Experience developing and delivering professional learning
- Instructional Coaching experience (highlypreferred)
Responsibilities and Duties Common to all Region6ESCInstructionalEmployees:
- Support districts in the implementation ofinstructional resourcesforTier 1instruction in area of responsibility.
- Develop present andfacilitateeffective professional development.
- Provide technicalassistanceand customized services.
- Provide support andexpertisein planning developing implementing and evaluating professional development services and products in the area(s) of responsibility.
- Assistwith planning and implementation of ongoing needs assessment and services forRegion6customer districts.
- Assistin planning and developing special project activities e.g. grant proposals interdepartmental services demonstration sites research studies and other customer-based projects.
- Engage in professional development tomaintainknowledge and skills in area(s) of responsibility.
- Participate in state-level functions related to area(s) of responsibility.
- Provide technicalassistanceand services as specified by any applicable federal grant that funds this position.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties for Strong FoundationsInstructionalSpecialists:
- Support districts in the implementation ofStrongFoundationsinstructionalmaterialsinthe areaofresponsibility.
- Attend and activelyparticipatein all required TEA trainings and meetings to support the implementation of the Strong Foundations grant for participating LEAs
- Complete all RBIS and Product Academy sessions and obtain certification
- Adhere to all guidelines deliverables and timelines as outlined in the Strong Foundations grant
- Monitor and track the progress of LEAs in implementing the Strong Foundations grant deliverables
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Equipment Used:
- Standard office equipment including personal computers and peripherals
Working Conditions:
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
- Environment: Self-discipline that will enable continuous learning be able to multi-task with frequent interruptions and with minimal supervision and maintain emotional control under stress. Prolonged and irregular work hours on occasion
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
