Location: Austin TX (2-3 days Onsite/Days)

Duration : 6 months

Job Description:

10 years of testing experience using Microfocus LoadRunner

VUGEN scripting experience using HHTP/HTML Java

Proficiency in using VUGEN Controller Analysis and Load generator

Knowledge of VB Scripting Java

Experience in Agile Methodology

Local Austin candidates will be given preference

Job Summary

Client needs a Senior Performance Testing specialist who can independently design and execute load/stress testing for high-traffic Java web applications.

The role is heavily focused on Microfocus LoadRunner (no alternatives accepted) scripting execution analysis and reporting.

Candidate will simulate real-world user traffic identify bottlenecks and provide performance tuning recommendations.

This is not a manual QA or Selenium role it s a true performance engineering role. Short-term contract for a highly experienced tester who can start fast with minimal ramp-up.

Local Austin candidates preferred due to hybrid setup.

Role Overview

Senior Performance/Automation Tester responsible for end-to-end performance testing of customer-facing Java web applications using Microfocus LoadRunner. The candidate will build scripts run large-scale tests analyze results and recommend performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Design load stress and failover testing scenarios

Create and maintain VUGEN scripts (HTTP/HTML & Java)

Execute tests using Controller and Load Generators

Analyze performance results and identify bottlenecks

Work in Agile teams and collaborate with developers

Produce performance reports and tuning recommendations

Independently manage performance test cycles

Required Skills

8 10 years Performance Testing experience

Strong Microfocus LoadRunner expertise (mandatory)

VUGEN scripting (HTTP/HTML Java protocols)

Controller Analysis Load Generator usage

Java application performance testing experience

VBScript and Java scripting knowledge

Agile environment experience

Preferred Skills
