About the role

In this role youll be supporting four fantastic individuals with learning disabilities helping them lead active fulfilling lives. Each person we support has access to their own vehicle to promote independence so a full UK driving licence is essential.

The individuals youll support love getting out and about whether its day trips scenic beach walks strolls around the local area or meals out. If you enjoy being active and making a real difference in peoples lives this could be the perfect role for you!

What Youll Be Doing:

As a Support Worker youll be involved in all aspects of day-to-day support including:

  • Administering medication
  • Preparing meals and supporting with mealtimes
  • Laundry and household cleaning
  • Accompanying on shopping trips and running errands
  • Supporting relationships with friends family and the local community
  • Taking part in leisure activities such as swimming cinema trips and days out
  • Advocating for their needs preferences and choices
  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect
  • Assisting with manual handling as required
  • Providing digital (computer-based) administrative support as a key worker

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Experience in care with a knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support
  • Strong initiative & teamwork skills.

Pay and Pensions

  • 24531 FTE or 12.75 per hour
  • Sleep-in rate: 62.64 per 8 hour shift
  • Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
  • Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
  • Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
  • Pension Choices:
    • Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or
    • Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service.
  • 3 x Life Cover linked to pension membership

  • From 1st April 2026 the option to be either weekly or monthly paid.

Time off and Flexibility

  • 26 days holiday pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 27 days after 1 years service or cash equivalent of 1 days annual leave.
  • Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks
  • Paternity Leave: 3 weeks
