The Position

The Quality Management (QM) Summer Intern provides operational and administrative support to the Quality Management team. The primary focus of this internship is to assist in activities that protect Roche Canadas License to Operate by ensuring products and systems comply with the Pharma Quality System (PQS) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health Canada requirements. This role offers a hands-on learning experience in pharmaceutical quality compliance within an agile self-managed team environment.

The Opportunity:

  • Documentation & Release Support: Assist the QM team members in reviewing essential documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Certificates of Manufacture (CoM) required for releasing clinical and commercial products to the Canadian market. You will help create and accurately maintain supporting files for product management to ensure compliance with marketing authorizations and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Quality System Maintenance: Support the maintenance of Quality-related training systems to ensure staff records remain compliant. You may also assist in the returned drugs process ensuring all activities are documented according to Health Canada regulations.

  • Process Assistance: Provide administrative support for Planned Events (PE) such as Change Controls and audits deviations and customer complaints. This includes helping the team gather information and document corrective actions effectively as well as support other projects as needed.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Support the team in keeping internal stakeholders such as Regulatory Affairs (RA) Logistics and Drug Safety informed as needed regarding project updates and timelines to ensure alignment and collaboration.

  • Operational Excellence & KPIs: Help gather and report data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the Quality System remains robust. You will be encouraged to look for process improvements and share ideas to facilitate more agile and efficient operations.

Who You Are:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Science or a closely related field.

  • Ability to adopt agile behaviors showing flexibility in daily tasks and a willingness to integrate into a high-performing self-managed team.

  • A We over Me mentality characterized by transparency and a desire to support team members whenever needed.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a foundational interest in learning processes regulations and systems.

Additional Information:

  • Duration: 4 months Full-time (35 hours per week) and will begin in May 2026.

  • Location: Based in Mississauga Ontario.

  • Our team follows a hybrid work structure (majority of time in the office).

This position is not eligible for relocation support.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga isandof hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications and other job-related factors as determined by the company.
