Job Summary

Workplace Investigations Officer

Permanent Full-time

The Workplace Investigations Officer is part of the People & Culture Team and will conduct high-quality investigations into allegations relating to workplace conduct and a strong focus on reportable conduct across CatholicCare Tasmania. Working under the direction of the Workplace Investigations Lead the position will complete all functions within the investigation process and work in collaboration with the People & Culture advisory team across conduct management to ensure a consistent and efficient service to CatholicCare Tasmania and external stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in related discipline or minimum of 5 years in Employee or industrial relations or Human Resources work-related experience. Experience working within the Reportable Conduct Scheme in Tasmania highly desirable.

National Police Criminal History Check: Satisfactory police check to be completed on a 3-yearly basis from commencement. Crimes involving violence aggression drugs fraud dishonesty and excessive motor vehicle related offences would be cause for discontinuance of employment.

Working with Vulnerable People Registration: Must maintain current and valid Working with Vulnerable People registration; and must always carry evidence of this.

Drivers License: Statewide travel is required for the position maintaining a current drivers licence is a requirement of this role.

Selection Criteria

1. A demonstrated background in applying beliefs and values consistent with CatholicCare Tasmanias Mission Vision and Code of Conduct.

2. Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in conducting workplace investigations and/or reportable conduct or other legal or human resources matters within legislation.

3. Proven experience in procedure development analysis and implementation.

4. Experience in coaching and consulting with a wide variety of stakeholders to build collaborative policies and organisational commitment processes and systems to ensure coherence with CCT vision and objectives.

5. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including well developed and accurate report writing skills.

6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and facilitate change across multiple and cross-cultural stakeholder groups.

7. Demonstrated ability to work in an environment with sensitive and confidential information.
