Note: US Citizen only. Traveling: 10%-depending on support needed with travel to South Carolina. Must-Have Skills:
- Conduct testing of vehicles systems and components per engineering procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to assemble disassemble and fabricate parts test stands and fixtures
- Ability to read follow and execute detailed test procedures
- Strong data recording and documentation skills (manual and data acquisition systems)
- Ability to maintain safety compliance in hazardous work environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and prioritize daily work assignments
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of automotive and mechanical terminology
- Certified Welder (CW)
- CDL Telehandler or AWP operator license
- Experience operating heavy equipment and test vehicles
- Experience with test instrumentation selection
- Mechanic tool set and toolbox (Defense segment)
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support engineers and senior technicians in testing prototypes and current production vehicles and components
- Conduct tests collect and record data and troubleshoot system failures to validate product designs
- Assemble disassemble and fabricate customized parts structures and test fixtures
- Operate vehicles heavy equipment and machinery as required for testing and material handling
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety procedures
- Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical issues and support product development
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma with 3 years of engineering-related experience (or equivalent)
- Associates Degree with 3 years of experience preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hands-on testing environment
- Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 50 lbs
