Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. This role involves on-call responsibilities including weeknights and weekends and requires experience in a similar setting. The RN will also float between like units as needed.
Location:Fullerton California United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Cath Lab.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Document patient care accurately and completely.
- Float between like units as needed.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs.
- Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Cath Lab nursing.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- 2 years of experience in Cath Lab nursing.
Special Considerations:

- On-call responsibilities required: 7 days per pay period (2 nights/week 1 weekend/2 weeks).
- Must be able to work every other weekend and potentially more to meet unit needs.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
- RTO must be included at time of submission.
Scheduling:
- Schedule includes weeknights and weekends.
- Specific shift details to be determined.
