Job Title: Workday HRIS Analyst
Location : Reston VA
Duration: 6 Months with possible Permanent Conversion
Pay Rate: $50-$55 hourly on W2 (No C2C/Vendor Candidates)
Job Description:
- Responsible for Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) set up and maintenance optimization reporting testing troubleshooting process improvements data integrity system security and year-end support. Support system integrations to ensure proper controls while recommending and establishing new controls as needed.
- Lead or support specific modules within the HRIS system for the region ensuring configurations meet both global and regional requirements.
- Interprets business requirements into specifications for HRIS applications and interfaces.
- Designs and maintains codes and tables prepares reports for Human Resources systems and applications investigates and analyzes systems to resolve any complex and large-scale issues.
- Executes internal processes develops and performs audits to ensure integrity of all systems.
- Collaborates with functional users to develop all business processes for various human resources systems and provides support to all associated activities.
- Designs and runs complex queries resolves queries and ensures accuracy prepares business documents and provides upgrades.
- Executes and/or monitors all scheduled import/export interfaces and files to third party vendors.
- Tests and implements file feeds and interfaces for any add-on technology to our HRIS as needed.
- Audits and reviews changes within HRIS to ensure proper controls and separation of duties and assist in establishing new controls as needed.
- Aids in coordinating system and security administration for multiple HRIS/Payroll related systems as needed.
- Develops and conducts a robust training program to new users provide end-user support and assistance to the respective HRIS module or system you support.
- Works with external vendors and other service providers to ensure the efficient accurate and timely exchange of information.
- Actively participate in the continuous digitization of HR processes including identifying automation opportunities and optimization initiatives.
- Ensures the HRIS system(s) adhere to regional regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Performs additional duties works on special projects and collaborates with HRIS team as needed and assigned.
Skills/Experience:
Qualifications: Education:
- Bachelors degree (B. S. ) or equivalent required. PHR a plus PMP a plus. Work Experience: Three to five years of experience within the HRIS and project arenas to include a proven ability to improve internal processes and upgrade current technologies. knowledge of HRIS management reporting and payroll processes within an UltiPro environment required.
- Must have demonstrated expertise in Workday HRIS payroll and business processes with ability to take ownership of overall HRIS systems and process. Reporting and business intelligence (Cognos 8) experience including systems set up and organization as well as ongoing reporting to meet business needs.
- General overall knowledge and experience within Human Resources (e. g. compensation and benefits) with demonstrated ability to apply technical solutions to solve business problems in an effective manner preferred.
- Strong organizational skills project management experience time management skills excellent attention to detail ability to maintain confidential information and ability to work well in a team environment
Technical Skills:
- Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated. Knowledge of information technology and compensation best practices Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent spreadsheet database and presentation software skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels and operation units of the organization. Attention to detail and ability to provide fast turnaround when needed in depth knowledge of Workday Backoffice versions.
- Strong knowledge of Cognos 8/Business Intelligence report writing (i. e. report studio query studio dashboards event studio bursting) Working knowledge of both United States and Canada HR practices benefits and retirement programs preferred Language / Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills - correspondence to internal and external customers. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals possessing varying degrees of technical and functional knowledge. Proven teamwork with ability to work with team members across all corporate functions. Client Service oriented and focused
Required Skills:
- This position has to have a sound understanding of Workday as an admin as well as some experience with HR/Payroll. The challenge is that they are getting people who are too IT-heavy or to HR-heavy with no configuration experience).
- There are issues in Workday that require configuration to be fixed because the system has not been kept up. Once we move fully off UltiPro this individual will service Workday so they will be cross-trained (this usually excites people because Workday shops are so hard to get in to learn).
- Reporting is big too. Experience of any version of Cognos/IBM reporting or report smith.
- JIRA/SNOW or a Ticketing system is highly desirable.
