Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller Manager to oversee and manage the full credit control function on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the credit control team ensuring effective debt collection minimising credit risk and maintaining accurate and compliant financial processes during the contract period.
This role requires a hands-on leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills solid financial acumen and the ability to deliver results in a time-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities Credit Control & Debt Management

Oversee the full debtors function ensuring timely and effective collection of outstanding accounts

Monitor debtor balances ageing reports and credit exposure
-
Implement and enforce credit control policies and procedures

Resolve complex account queries and disputes efficiently

Ensure adherence to agreed payment terms and credit limits
Team Leadership & Management

Manage support and motivate the credit control team
-
Allocate workloads and monitor performance against KPIs
-
Provide guidance coaching and hands-on support where required
-
Ensure continuity and stability within the team during the fixed-term period
Reporting & Financial Controls

Prepare and review weekly and monthly debtor reports
-
Track collections performance against targets
-
Provide accurate reporting to finance and senior management
-
Ensure compliance with internal controls policies and financial governance
Stakeholder Engagement
-
Liaise with internal departments including Finance Operations and Sales
-
Engage professionally with external customers to manage collections and resolve escalations
-
Build and maintain strong working relationships to support cash flow objectives
Risk & Compliance
-
Identify potential credit risks and recommend corrective actions
-
Ensure compliance with company credit policies and relevant legislation
-
Support audits and provide required documentation where necessary
Minimum Requirements
-
Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance Accounting or Credit Management (advantageous)
-
Minimum 5 8 years experience in credit control with management or supervisory experience
-
Strong knowledge of debtors management collections and credit risk
-
Proven experience managing high-volume or complex debtor portfolios
-
Strong Excel and financial systems experience
-
Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills
