About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale DMV Transformation initiative for a New York State government program. This role is ideal for a professional who excels at translating complex business needs into clear actionable requirements while working with diverse stakeholder groups.
The selected candidate will play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle-from requirements gathering and analysis to validation and testing-while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams technical leads and government stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that business objectives are accurately reflected in system designs and delivered solutions.
This is a long-term engagement offering stability meaningful public-sector impact and the opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility statewide transformation effort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply standard Business Analyst methodologies and best practices across Agile and traditional project environments.
- Gather analyze document and communicate business and system requirements from large stakeholder groups.
- Develop and maintain system and process documentation including diagrams and roadmaps.
- Ensure requirements are complete accurate and aligned with business needs.
- Validate requirements during testing phases to confirm successful implementation.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams business users and government stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 84 months of experience using Business Analyst processes methodologies tools and techniques including:
- Agile
- Business Process Reengineering (BPR)
- SWOT Analysis
- Gap Analysis
- Data Analysis
- User Stories
- Process Mapping
- 84 months of experience gathering tracking and communicating requirements from 30 or more project participants.
- 84 months of experience creating analyzing and revising system diagrams including:
- Flowcharts / Process Maps
- Use Case Diagrams
- Data Flow Diagrams
- Product Roadmaps
- 84 months of experience verifying requirement accuracy during analysis and validating business needs during testing.
- 84 months of experience in a Business Analyst role.
- 48 months of experience working for a government agency.
- 48 months of experience managing two or more projects simultaneously.
- Bachelors degree or higher (copies of all degrees required).
