Job Description

Position : Database Engineer (Python)
Location : Alpharetta GA Hybrid (3 days on site)
Duration : Long Term Contract

MOI : Video and chances for in person for final round.

Description
Job opening for a database developer to help build out our postgres (plus other related projects) environment. Solid development experience.
The software engineer will work within the centralized DB engineer group and support the software infrastructure required to operate and integrate relational databases into a secure global database environment.

The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Engineer/sustain scripts related to supporting and maintaining relational databases
- Ensure products meet the necessary security supportability performance requirements
- Create review maintain and update documentation.
- Document & Publish fixes in central knowledge base.
- Dissemination of knowledge amongst colleagues.

The individual chosen for this position should have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

High level of competence in multiple languages including Python Perl Ksh C
5-10 years of programming experience focused recently in Python
Python Framework experience required
Good understanding of UNIX and/or Linux system fundamentals
SQL programming skills
Knowledge of common third party tools to manage large database environments.
Strong troubleshooting mindset
Postrges experience required
Expertise and practical experience using and implementing Kerberos
Expertise in designing enterprise large-scale software infrastructures
Good presentation interpersonal and written skills
A team player with the ability to work in a demanding environment.
