TITLE: NETWORK SECURITY ANALYST
LOCATION: AUSTIN TX (5 DAYS ON-SITE)
INTERVIEW WILL BE ONSITE
Job Description:
Scope of Work Work involves planning implementing and monitoring security measures using the NIST Risk Management Framework and Texas security frameworks for information systems and infrastructure. The role works under limited supervision with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Key Duties
Assist with implementation and management of TxDOT Secure System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
Coordinate implementation of system security plans with agency personnel and vendors
Consult with users on account permissions data access needs security violations and programming changes
Advise management and users on security configurations and procedures
Develop plans to safeguard information systems and support emergency data processing needs
Participate in IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Perform and review technical risk assessments for new and existing applications and systems including data center physical security
Research and recommend systems/procedures for prevention detection containment and correction of data security breaches
Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
4 7 years experience with information security management frameworks (NIST RMF NIST CSF Texas Information Security Standards)
4 7 years experience conducting and documenting risk assessments and associated reports
4 7 years experience in security roles (e.g. Information System Security Officer or equivalent)
4 7 years and must hold Security or equivalent certification
Preferred Skills
5 years experience working with critical timelines
3 years experience bridging technology gaps for owners and custodians
3 years excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in English
