About the Role
DoorDash is hiring In-Field Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to represent the brand directly in the this role you will spend your days visiting restaurants in person introducing DoorDash and booking qualified meetings for our Outside Account Executives.
You will often be the first human interaction a merchant has with DoorDash. Success in this role requires preparation confidence resilience and the ability to quickly build rapport. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on face-to-face interactions enjoys being out in the field and is motivated by clear measurable results.
What Youll Do
- Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects within your assigned territory each week
- Identify restaurant owners or key decision-makers and build trust through brief in-person conversations
- Deliver a compelling pitch on how DoorDash helps restaurants:
- Increase orders
- Reach new customers
- Improve operational efficiency
- Secure qualified meetings for the Outside Account Executive team
- Log all visits conversations and outcomes accurately in Salesforce and other sales tools
- Partner closely with Outside Account Executives to align on target accounts and follow-up strategies
- Plan and manage daily routes to maximize productivity and meeting volume
- Follow up with merchants via phone text and email to confirm meetings and maintain engagement
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly goals for meetings set meetings held and downstream revenue impact
- Act as the local eyes and ears of DoorDash by sharing merchant feedback to improve sales messaging and product offerings

- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in the field
- Competitive goal-oriented and motivated by performance-based incentives
- Highly organized with strong time territory and follow-up management skills
- A strong communicator both face-to-face and in writing
- Coachable open to feedback and eager to build a long-term sales career
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in outbound sales canvassing field marketing or customer-facing roles focused on new business generation
- Background may include sales hospitality retail service industry or similar environments
- Comfortable conducting high-volume short in-person conversations
- Ability to learn and confidently communicate the DoorDash value proposition
- Experience with Salesforce Outreach or similar CRM tools is a plus
- Restaurant food & beverage or local business experience is a plus
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work restaurant-friendly hours including early mornings evenings or occasional weekends
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods while visiting merchants
- Ability to drive frequently within the assigned territory
- Ability to carry light materials such as flyers one-pagers or a tablet
