Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: NYC NY / Montreal QC / Alpharetta GA
6 Months contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in regulatory data initiatives and enterprise data management. The ideal candidate will work closely with business technology and data teams to define requirements support data governance initiatives and drive compliance with BCBS 239 standards through effective data lineage modeling and metadata management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead business analysis activities across complex data and regulatory programs
Elicit analyze and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders
Support initiatives related to BCBS 239 compliance including data governance and risk reporting
Develop and maintain end-to-end data lineage across systems and platforms
Collaborate with data architects and engineers on data modeling (conceptual logical and physical)
Define and manage metadata management standards taxonomies and data dictionaries
Facilitate workshops using Design Thinking techniques to uncover user needs and process gaps
Translate business requirements into clear user stories use cases and acceptance criteria
Partner with UX/design teams and leverage Figma for process flows wireframes and requirement visualization
Act as a liaison between business users compliance teams and technology delivery teams
Support UAT planning execution and defect triage

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience as a Business Analyst preferably in financial services or data-driven programs
Strong expertise in Business Analysis methodologies and documentation standards
Hands-on experience with BCBS 239 regulatory requirements
Proven experience in Data Lineage Data Modeling and Metadata Management
Experience working with enterprise data platforms and complex system landscapes
Familiarity with Agile delivery models and writing user stories
Experience applying Design Thinking methodologies
Working knowledge of Figma for documentation visualization or collaboration
