Job Summary
Provide clinical oncology and aseptic-based pharmacy services including professional advice to medical and nursing staff.
Perform all duties in accordance with Pharmacy Department policies procedures and hospital-wide protocols.
Ensure best practice and full compliance with agreed clinical guidelines and standards.
Participate in continuing professional education and relevant research activities.
Maintain strict adherence to departmental and hospital Health and Safety policies promptly addressing any non-compliance.
Support clinical governance quality assurance and risk management initiatives.
Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role including on-call services and participation in extended and weekend rosters as required by the Director of Pharmacy Services.
Requirements
Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Practice
Minimum of 3 years post-registration hospital pharmacy experience
Oncology pharmacy experience
Experience in the implementation or use of e-prescribing systems
Strong administrative and managerial skills
Working or technical knowledge of pharmacy technologies including automation systems
