We are driven to serve our customers and are dedicated to creating safe spaces for the advancement of a better RoleAs our team continues to grow were seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to lead our talented product development group and oversee our Design Department alongside our Embedded Design this role you will guide a team of 4-5 mechanical product designers and collaborate closely with our customer-facing and Operations teams to deliver impactful high-quality culture values a strong sense of urgency in serving customers a deep passion for our work and a commitment to excellence that inspires others to perform at their Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of mechanical product the team through all stages of product development with customer-facing team members to define prioritize and manage feature closely with Operations to ensure smooth transitions of design changes and product releases into design and development processes by introducing tools and practices that enhance current with emerging technologies design tools and industry multiple projects in a fast-paced dynamic environment maintaining flexibility and initiatives and align the teams work with the companys strategic high-quality solutions on time and within train and develop team members; conduct performance evaluations and manage in departmental budget planning and report on key performance robust test coverage and mentor the team in design verification and validation the management and upkeep of testing spaces and a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous ideal candidate for this position will have: A College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or least 5 years of experience in a design or engineering skills with experience working on a multidisciplinary engineering team.A strong customer-service mindset and commitment to attention to detail and exceptional organizational skillsBusiness acumen and experience conducting product cost critical-thinking skills accountability and a bias toward action informed by ability to identify and resolve root-cause issues through simple effective communication skillsboth written and verbalwith active listening and clarity at all ability to:Deliver timely candid and constructive feedback with positive in a no-ego culture and willingly accept with honesty and transparency to build trust and long-term to understand before Antec Controls we believe in hiring based on team fit.
