Department Overview

Job Description

This position is based in Vancouver BC and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area as you will be required to go into the office on a hybrid work schedule.

Environmental Electrical and Mechanical testing on cameras and other security equipment.
Reproduce and investigate failures create test reports.
Perform IR illumination testing and image quality related testing on new and existing cameras as needed.
Camera functionality and ease of installation evaluation.
Perform tests on lenses and other optical elements as needed.

Create scripts for test automation using Python.

Basic Requirements

Diploma in one of the following fields: Electromechanical Electrical Electronics or Mechanical
Prior experience with cameras or photography and understanding of camera sensor and lens operation is preferred.
Minimum 2 year experience or equivalent expertise in a fast paced engineering development environment in the high tech industry.
Skilled in system and product level troubleshooting.
Knowledge of basic networking required.
Knowledge of Linux command line operations.
Experience with test automation and creating test scripts using Python is preferred.
Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience (installation use or manufacturing) with CCTV products is an asset.
Detail oriented and well organized good communicator able to multitask able to perform failure investigations root cause analysis and create clear easy to understand test reports.
Get it done attitude looking for ways how to get things done rather than explaining why they cant be done.
Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

Target Base Salary Range:$80000 - $90000 CAD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge skills and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
