This position plays an essential role in supporting equipment reliability minimizing downtime and ensuring the highest level of service for our customers. The role involves hands-on mechanical work technical problem solving and collaboration within a dynamic team : Edmonton Gear Centre Information: Full-time permanent position Monday to Friday daytime 40 hoursStart Date: March 2 2026Work Environment: Shop environment working with heavy duty equipment powertrain components tools and diagnostic equipmentHourly Rate: $36.00 per hourLocation: 7337 Pacific Cir #2 Mississauga ON L5T 1V1Language Competency: EnglishPrimary ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and determine appropriate repair requirementsRepair and rebuild transmissions differentials and driveline components used in industries such as construction mining agriculture and transportationPerform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtimeUse diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical hydraulic and driveline concernsMaintain detailed and accurate repair and service recordsCollaborate with team members to resolve complex technical problemsMaintain a clean organized and safe work environment following all company safety protocolsProvide support to other technicians as needed to ensure efficient workflowOther related duties as assigned by the Service ManagerQualificationsCompletion of a recognized trades certificate or diploma including Heavy Equipment Technician Diesel Mechanic Automotive Mechanic or Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) or equivalent education and experience.
