Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist acts in a professional manner responds to patient needs and supports colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The Radiological Technologist uses equipment and accessories employs techniques and procedures performs services in accordance with an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient self and other members of the healthcare team. The Senior Radiologic Technologist performs daily rounds in all areas of responsibility and assists management in developing performance metrics for continuous monitoring of core department processes. The senior technologist is responsible for the continuous effective operation and for the continuous improvement of its activities. A clear vision for the department working in concert with the strategic goals of the hospital is necessary. An unwavering focus on the customer/patient a constant emphasis on superior performance and value added strategies and a steadfast philosophy for the self-directed actions and staff ownership all characterize the qualities needed for this position.

Required Skills
Knowledge of CDPH Radiology Regulatory Requirements.
- Advance knowledge in flouroscopy testing and requlatory requirements.
- Knows all diagnostic and fluoroscopy protocols.
- Advanced technical skills in general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Advance knowledge in pathology anatomy and computer technology.
Knowledgeable in radiation physics radiation biology radiation protection and medical terminology.
- High degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques
- Able to review and update Diagnostic Protocol per Radiologist standards.
- Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office applications
- Able to perform some administrative duties under leadership guidance.
- Able to participate in new hire onboarding and probation review process.
- Able to directly and effectively communicate to the Radiologist.
- Able to communicate effectively and provide feedback to peers for growth.
- Participates in the interview process with the direct Supervisor.
- Knowledgeable in ordering departmental supplies and pharmaceuticals.
