We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Electrical Engineer to join our MRI RF Coil Electrical Engineering Team within GE Healthcares Imaging MR modality. This role focuses on designing and developing advanced wireless-enabled digital electronics for MRI coil systems ensuring high performance reliability and compliance with medical device standards.

The candidate will leverage knowledge of industry standard wireless protocols digital communication standards circuit board design process to ensure quality design output.

Job Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):

Design and implement wireless digital architectures for MRI coil systems.
Support FPGA/ASIC-based solutions for signal processing and high-speed data transmission.
Define and execute testing to evaluate wireless concepts in challenging RF environments.
Drive schematic capture for circuit boards implementing associated wireless designs and high-speed interfaces.
Write detailed functional specifications that document newly created designs and support product introduction.
Perform system-level simulations verification and validation of wireless coil designs.
Participate in all phases of new product introduction including concept development architecture documentation design prototyping testing supplier interactions manufacturing introduction and service support.

Required Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience in wireless digital design preferably in medical or other highreliability systems.
Experience and knowledge in the area of digital design and control
Wireless test equipment: protocol analyzer spectrum analyzer etc
Working knowledge of project management processes and procedures.
Experience with typical electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes
Working knowledge of PWA board bring-up and system integration experience

Desired Characteristics

3 years digital design experience
Schematic capture experience
Experience with healthcare imaging modalities and working in a highly regulated environment.
Demonstrated experience in designing standard bus formats such as PCIe CAN Ethernet USB and I2C.
Experience implementing Wi-Fi in designs and productizing solutions using commercially available chipsets.
Familiarity with industry-standard wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi Bluetooth and WiGig.
Familiarity with embedded processors drivers and defining interfaces to Wi-Fi chipsets.
Familiarity with MRI coil technology and electromagnetic principles.
Demonstrated experience with Cadence and MATLAB or equivalent simulation/modeling tools.
Self-starter results-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
Excellent teamwork coordination and communication skills.
Experience developing project plans and estimates.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
EMC-compatible design experience.
