Job Summary

The Referral Representative works under general supervision and is responsible for the coordination of patient referrals to include submission tracking patient scheduling and closing the loop on all referrals as well as the coordination of treatment for hospital and/or ancillary services. Entails communicating with Office and UM staff as well as Payors and patients. The Referral Coordinator ensures an efficient referral process which provides a seamless consistent process of referral for the patient across all providers/specialties.

Knowledge and ability to perform tasks with Microsoft Office software; knowledge of ICD-9 CM and CPT coding systems.
