About the role

Applications are invited from experienced and skilled Assistants in Nursing to join our dynamic team. You will be a part of a highly dedicated team that provides the best patient-centred care for our Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) patients.

This opportunity will be in our OPMH ward located at Greenwich Hospital and moving to Macquarie Hospital in North Ryde in approximately March or April. We offer applicants a stimulating workplace and a supportive team environment within the unit. Our staff are valued members of the multi-disciplinary team and are encouraged to participate in all learning and development activities.

HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.


About you

  • Second-year student in Bachelor of Nursing with a desire to work in a mental health ward with at least one Clinical Placement orCertificate III in Aged Care with one year relevant work experience.

  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system

  • Time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
