Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Catering Stores Manager with all food and non-food related ordering
Receive record and store all deliveries in accordance with the Food Safety Plan
Monitoring stock to ensure only approved goods are received and any irregularities are rectified
Ensure stock rotation and complete monthly stock takes
Accurate ordering in line with patient occupancy
Maintain relationships with key suppliers
Be proactive towards waste management
Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized work area
You will bring to the team:
Previous experience in a similar role within a large scale fast paced environment
Ability to work autonomously and self manage your time effectively
Forward planner problem solver with strong communication skills
Strong focus on managing budgets
Knowledge of food ingredients and specification
Basic food handlers certificate
Highly regarded/Desirable:
Previous qualified chef with experience in hospitality or healthcare sector
Food Safety Certificate
