Were looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Shared Platform Services team. Reporting to the Senior Director Software Engineering in Bangalore youll be responsible for:
- Participating in the engineering effort for the development and maintenance of the Zscaler Zero-Trust Cloud User Interface
- Working closely with the UI design team to implement intuitive and accessible user interfaces leveraging UX best practices and a component library
- Collaborating with the product team to define and implement functional requirements that align with business goals
- Developing high-quality maintainable code with thorough unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests using frameworks such as Jest Cypress or Playwright
- Advocating for UI platform priorities ensuring alignment with long-term architectural goals and business needs
What Were Looking For (Minumum Qualifications)
- 6 years of professional experience as a front-end engineer (5 years of experience in React) with Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience with JavaScript and developing UI components using React
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Experience in designing and implementing efficient and scalable GraphQL and REST APIs that serve the frontend effectively
- Experience in addressing key UI concerns such as scalability performance and security to maintain a high-quality user experience
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Strong understanding of front-end build tools package managers monorepos and version control systems (e.g. Nx npm git)
- Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes
- Understanding of AWS services (e.g. Cloudfront EC2 S3) and their application in secure scalable and highly available UI deployments
