Compensation: In accordance with California law the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary: The HR Generalist supports core human resources functions with a primary focus on workplace safety employee benefits administration workers compensation and ADA compliance. This role partners with leadership employees and external vendors to ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations supports risk management efforts and maintains accurate documentation related to safety benefits and employee accommodations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer workers compensation claims including intake documentation carrier coordination and return-to-work tracking
  • Support workplace safety and regulatory compliance including incident reporting OSHA/Cal-OSHA documentation and safety training coordination
  • Coordinate ADA accommodations including the interactive process documentation and collaboration with managers and medical providers
  • Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments life events open enrollment and vendor coordination
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local laws related to safety benefits leave and accommodations including audit support and reporting
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records related to workers compensation safety benefits and ADA documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or relevant field required

-AND-

  • 3-4 years experience in Human Resources

-OR-

  • SHRM/PHR certification 2 years experience in Human Resources

-PLUS-

  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws preferred
  • Experience in non-profit and government organizations is strongly preferred
