The Technical Directives Coordinator is responsible for the accurate management distribution and tracking of technical directives (TDs) related to aircraft maintenance. This role involves maintaining meticulous records coordinating with various departments and ensuring compliance with Navy regulations and standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive review and interpret technical directives.
- Distribute technical directives relevant to personnel and departments.
- Maintain an organized database of all technical directives and ensure accessibility for maintenance crews.
- Update and manage technical directive records in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series.
- Ensure all records are accurate up-to-date and readily available for audits and inspections.
- Archive obsolete directives and ensure historical data is preserved.
- Coordinate with maintenance to ensure directives are implemented correctly and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and distribute reports related to the status and implementation of technical directives.
- Assist in the preparation for inspections and audits by providing necessary documentation and records.
- Address and resolve discrepancies in technical directive records.
- Stay updated on new directives and disseminate information accordingly.
- Working knowledge of technical publications NAMP and NALCOMIS aircraft maintenance applications.
Other or Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of maintenance and material control procedures.
- Knowledge of aircraft log books logs and records and production daily weekly and monthly reports.
- Must be able to analyze maintenance and material data.
- Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Understand technical language terms in associated field.
- Possess a valid US State drivers license.
- Ability to read and interpret data is required.
- Ability to read write speak and understand English.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Experience & Education:
- High School degree or equivalent required.
- Shall have completed the Navy AZ class A school or USMC/USCG equivalent.
- MUST HAVE TECHNICAL DIRECTIVE EXPERIENCE.
- Two (2) or more years of recent aircraft records experience.
- Prior maintenance and material control operations experience preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
- Ability to work under pressure and continuously meet deadlines.
- Works in a normal office in a hanger environment.
