Job Summary

Drive best-practice procurement and deliver transparent outcomes in this key leadership role guiding Councils sourcing compliance and contract management embedding robust processes probity and customer-focused service across the the RoleReporting to the Manager Governance you will be responsible for:Leading a customer-focused procurement team delivering strategic advice and high-quality servicesProviding expert guidance on procurement tendering and contract management to achieve value-for-money outcomesDeveloping frameworks policies procedures templates training and spend analysis to standardise practiceManaging online procurement systems (VendorPanel TechnologyOne Supply Chain tender evaluation software) and Councils procurement web contentMonitoring compliance and reporting to senior management to ensure high levels of probity and accountabilityCoaching and mentoring the team to enable a centre-led procurement function What Youll BringDegree-level qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experienceExtensive experience in procurement tendering evaluation and contract managementStrong leadership decision-making and high-level communication/negotiation skills Proven ability to prepare reports policies and procedures in a local government contextDesirable: experience with TechnologyOne; knowledge of Australian Standard contracts and supplier management.
