Overview of the Role:
The Head of School role within our primary schools will be deployed within a 1 form entry primary school supported and mentored by the Community Executive Principal. This position is an opportunity to experience full school leadership across a small school and engage in a development programme designed to prepare you for future leadership as a Principal.
Head of School Development Programme:
In line with the Head Teachers Standards the programme of support will cover the key areas for leadership development alongside experienced colleagues who are experts in their field. You will be invited to both Principal Development Days and specific Head of School Development Days where there will be a more in-depth learning opportunity and to share best practice. A full programme will be shared with you and aligned at the stage of your own professional development.
As Head of School you may be deployed at any of OGATs Primary academies as determined by the Executive Principal - Primary Strategy. The current deployment for September 2026 for this position will be Outwood Primary Academy Darfield.
