What are we looking for
TheMechanical Engineeris responsible for supporting the design and fabrication of testing equipment for internal and external customers.
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5
Salary & Benefits Information

What youll do:
- Produce preliminary/conceptual drawings of initial ideas for equipment
- Update existing drawings to reflect design changes
- Produce new and update existing bills of material
- Prepare written documentation for equipment including operations manuals and maintenance instructions
- Confer with team to develop enhance and/or modify equipment design
- Purchase materials for projects and shop
- Perform other work as required
- Provide excellent customer service
- Follow and enforce all safety requirements and company policies

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 02 years of relevant engineering experience (internships co-ops or academic projects count)
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles (thermodynamics mechanics materials fluids)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks Creo or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to perform basic calculations and engineering analyses
- Willingness to learn and apply engineering standards and codes
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid drivers license and reliable driving record (required)
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Hands-on experience through internships lab work or senior design projects
- Ability to interpret industry standards for testing and building codes
- Exposure to testing inspection or quality processes
- Working knowledge of machining and fabrication processes
