Assistant Nurse Manager - Stroke Treatment & Recovery
Full Time (80 hours/pay) - Day/Midnight commitment
Rotation depending on the needs of the department

ChristianaCare is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for our 29-bed Stroke Treatment & Recovery (STAR) this role the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Manager in the clinical and administrative activities of the department in order to ensure patients the provision of quality care. The STAR unit focuses on care of stroke patients and as well as medical patients.

Responsibilities:
Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department evaluate staff performance counsel/coach staff member as needed.
Participates in hiring promotion and termination decisions.
Functions as role model demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors.
Directs mentors and supports all levels of staff.
Develops implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff.
Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Nursing required.
Masters degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
Three years appropriate acute care clinical experience required.
Leadership experience preferred.
Appropriate clinical certification required.
