The Sr. Compensation Specialist plays a key role in shaping a competitive and compliant compensation strategy which allows us to attract and retain top talent. This role is responsible for all broad-based compensation including participating in annual market pricing administering the annual compensation process managing salary structures evaluating new positions and driving new compensation programs that align with Streams compensation philosophy company wide.
This position is based in downtown Dallas and is eligible for a hybrid schedule generally requiring work in-office three days a week.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the annual compensation planning process
- Partner with finance to set budgets using benchmark data
- Develop compensation planning process project plan to ensure that all deliverables are met.
- lead the compensation planning system set up ensuring data and set up is accurate
- Create job aids and training for compensation planning
Manage all compensation benchmarking
- Participate in survey submission process providing Streams data to selected vendors.
- Analyze market data ensuring market competitiveness and salary movement.
- Deliver compensation insights by preparing compensation reports and dashboards for HRBPs and business leaders
- Ack as the primary contract to compensation survey vendors.
Maintain and update all compensation replated data including salary ranges job code tables job families and career paths.
- Use market data to analyze salary ranges annually and suggest movement
- Determine if new ranges are needed to support the business.
- Partner with the HRBPs to develop career paths and hierarchies
- Partner with the HCM team to ensure all data is set up and accurate in the HCM system
Oversee compensation compliance and audit support
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local wage and hour regulations.
- Complete FLSA reviews for new and existing positions.
- Support audits and compliance reviews for compensation programs.
Provide day-to-day compensation support to Talent Acquisition HRBPs and business leaders
- Conduct job evaluations on all newly created positions.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and HRBPs providing expert compensation guidance.
- Respond to employee questions on pay policies and practices with clarity and professionalism.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration Finance or related field
- 7 years of Human Resources experience
- 5 years of experience in Compensation
- Experience with HCM and compensation systems such as UKG Workday HRSoft ADP or Success Factors
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables vLookups creating models and dashboards)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver on time and within scope
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization with professionalism and discretion
- Strong attention to detail
