We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure/Entra ID Engineer (L3) to support enterprise identity and access management initiatives within a large-scale IT environment.
This role is responsible for the hands-on build configuration and advanced troubleshooting of Azure/Entra ID identity security components. The engineer will partner closely with IAM Architects to translate design documentation into secure production-ready configurations.
This is a fully onsite contract opportunity located in San Francisco CA or Cincinnati OH. Local candidates only.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and manage Azure/Entra ID L3 components in enterprise environments
Implement and troubleshoot Conditional Access policies
Configure Identity Protection and risk-based policies
Deploy and support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions
Configure and manage Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
Integrate device compliance controls and endpoint security policies
Support Azure Machine Learning (ML) integrations where applicable
Translate IAM architecture designs into production-ready configurations
Perform advanced identity and access troubleshooting
Utilize scripting (e.g. PowerShell) to automate configurations and remediation
Support security audits and compliance validation efforts
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
810 years of professional IT experience
8 years of hands-on Azure/Entra ID experience
Advanced (L3-level) experience with:
Conditional Access
Identity Protection
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
Device compliance integrations
Strong troubleshooting skills within enterprise IAM environments
Experience working in large enterprise IT environments (500 users)
Hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning (ML)
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting
