This position requires strong analytical skills a deep understanding of IT policies and legislation and experience in managing software engineering IT Policy/Legislative Specialist at Koniag Government Services plays a crucial role in assisting with the interpretation and implementation of IT public policy initiatives providing strategic support and recommendations to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. With strong analytical skills IT policy expertise and experience in managing software engineering projects the ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking legislation making policy recommendations collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring successful policy implementation and compliance with relevant Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:The IT Policy/Legislative Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:Assist in interpreting and implementing IT public policy initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with relevant support in long-term strategy development related to IT policies and legislation contributing to the formulation of effective and sustainable and monitor relevant legislation and regulatory changes that may impact the organizations IT operations and compliance research and analysis to make informed policy recommendations taking into account the organizations objectives industry trends and legal with clients frequently often on a daily basis to relay progress updates gather feedback and establish priorities for policy implementation and legislative with cross-functional teams including legal compliance and technical experts to ensure a comprehensive understanding of IT policy implications and align efforts and present reports presentations and briefings to keep stakeholders informed about IT policy developments legislative changes and their potential impact on the as the task leader managing a group of engineers and the full ADP (Automated Data Processing) life cycle in software engineering for a minimum of two and mitigate potential risks implementing proactive measures to address issues and ensure successful policy up-to-date with the latest technologies industry trends and best practices in IT policy and legislation and recommend improvements or enhancements when duties as assignedRequirementsEducation:Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science Information Technology Public Policy or to obtain a Public TrustWork Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IT policy legislative support or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge skills and possess two (2) years of task leader experience managing a group of engineers and the full ADP life cycle in software understanding of IT policies regulations and legislative processes relevant to the organizations analytical research and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and provide actionable communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients stakeholders and cross-functional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet with industry best practices standards and emerging trends in IT policy and of software engineering principles methodologies and the ADP life to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced Skills and Competencies:Experience with office equipment (e.g. copiers postage meters audio/visual)Knowledge of database management reporting and data entry proceduresBasic accounting bookkeeping and recordkeeping experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)Problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyEvent planning and project coordination experienceOffice Location and Travel:The place of performance will be Primary place of performance shall be performed at ACF Headquarters located in Washington D.C.
