POSITION SUMMARY
Barton Malow is seeking an A/E Services Engineer to join our A/E Services team embedded at a client facility in Auburn Hills MI. This role provides hands-on field troubleshooting programming and lifecycle support for a complex Building Automation System (BAS) that manages HVAC lighting central energy plant utilities and life safety systems across a mission-critical campus. The A/E Services Engineer will collaborate with facility staff and contractors to optimize system performance support energy efficiency initiatives and lead system upgrades and integrations.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and update drawings and specifications maintain and distribute project documentation.
- Walk through buildings during/after installation to verify installation progress.
- Identify and document existing equipment and field conditions to establish project goals and design feasibility.
- Draft and update engineering drawings and specifications based on direction and assistance from design and management team.
- Create and maintain dynamic cell libraries in CAD systems and manage CAD software.
- Identify material change requirements and work with clients to find ways to adjust and make the customers evolving requirements and our internal processes work together efficiently.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE EDUCATION EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Technical/Engineering degree or equivalent applicable professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience with CAD software programs.
- Familiar with architectural electrical mechanical and plumbing documentation a plus but not required.
