This is a hands-on high-impact role where youll work side by side with venues teams providing expert advice training and audits all in the interest of keeping staff athletes and visitors lead continuous improvement initiatives manage and report on incident data contribute to the design and implementation of emergency and risk plans that set the standards for safety and partner with our people in building capability and understanding. From daily audits to strategic input youll be the go-to advisor ensuring compliance and driving best the Venues Health & Safety Advisor your primary responsibilities will include:Provide practical fit-for-purpose WHS advice across multiple venuesConduct audits and reviews to maintain safe environmentsSupport emergency management planning and event safety strategiesAnalyse incident data and contribute to risk frameworksCoach and train teams to embed a strong safety cultureRequired skills and Qualifications:Current recognised (nationally accredited) qualifications in Workplace/Occupational Health and SafetyProven experience in Health & Safety advisory rolesKnowledge of WHS legislation and risk frameworksStrong influencing and problem-solving skillsHighly developed communication skillsAbility to work across multiple venues and teamsWell developed attention to detailCurrent Victorian Working with Childrens Check (Employee)Current Victorian drivers licenceWhy is this a great place to workYou will love working at the State Sports Centres.
