About The Opportunity
Due to continued growth our client is seeking a Resource Management Planning Consultant to join their busy and supportive team.
Reporting to Senior Planners & Directors your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing resource consent applications
- Interpreting and applying planning documents and legislation
- Providing professional planning advice to private and public sector clients
- Engaging with stakeholders including clients councils and government agencies
- Supporting subdivision development and land-use projects
- Managing workloads independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
- Preparing and managing Department of Conservation Concession applications
- Preparing and managing submissions on Resource Management and Department of Conservation management plan reviews
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 3 years experience in resource management planning
- Relevant tertiary qualification in planning or a related discipline
- Current NZPI membership or working towards registration
- Strong understanding of planning legislation and documentation
You will also have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- A proactive solutions-focused and can-do approach
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
