The Global Controller Access Segment serves as a senior financial leader for Oshkosh Corporations Access segment providing segment-wide accounting leadership for Oshkosh Corporations largest segment with extensive manufacturing and commercial operations worldwide. This role leads a global accounting organization and has ultimate accountability for accurate financial reporting strong internal control over financial reporting statutory compliance and continuous improvement supporting disciplined execution and scalable growth across a dynamic global business.

The Global Controller reports to the Access Segment Vice President of Finance and partners closely with segment leadership and the Corporate Controllers office. The role is based in Hagerstown Maryland and supports the Access segments global businesses operating across regions with varying levels of accounting and process maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all accounting activities across the Access segment including general accounting consolidations internal control over financial reporting and statutory reporting.

  • Ensure the accuracy integrity and timeliness of segment financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP SOX requirements and Oshkosh Corporation policies.

  • Oversee the Access segments global close consolidation and reporting processes; drive improvements in speed quality and consistency across regions.

  • Sustain and reinforce a culture of accountability rigor and integrity with accurate accounting as a foundational priority.

  • Partner with the Segment CFO and leadership to support business decisions growth initiatives and operational performance.

  • Act as a primary liaison to Corporate Finance ensuring alignment with enterprise accounting policies internal controls and reporting standards.

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to elevate accounting capability across regions with mixed process maturity balancing standardization with local statutory and business requirements.

  • Develop mentor and retain a strong global accounting leadership team; build bench strength succession capability and long-term organizational resilience.

  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with statutory regulatory and governance requirements across all jurisdictions.

  • Support acquisition and integration activities including accounting due diligence purchase accounting and integration of acquired businesses.

  • Coordinate external audits and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.

  • 15 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience in large complex organizations.

  • CPA strongly preferred; equivalent senior-level accounting leadership experience will be considered.

  • Demonstrated success leading large globally dispersed accounting teams.

  • Strong executive presence communication skills and professional judgment.

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control over financial reporting.

  • Multinational experience overseeing international subsidiaries and diverse regulatory environments.

Additional Information

This role offers a combination of scale visibility and leadership impact with potential for broader enterprise advancement or long-term influence within the Access segment. Domestic and international travel is expected.

Pay Range:

$158600.00 - $301400.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
