Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Stockport Greater Manchester
Salary:
Shift Pattern: Monday Friday Rotating Weekly
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns across production and site services
- Diagnosing faults on automated production and packaging machinery including PLC fault-finding
- Providing electrical and mechanical support across manufacturing operations
- Driving continuous improvement root cause analysis and reliability projects to reduce downtime
- Supporting line changeovers lean initiatives and efficiency improvements (SMED CI activities)
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records using computerised systems
- Working closely with production teams to improve asset care and performance
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of health & safety quality and housekeeping
- Supporting apprentices and contributing to knowledge sharing within the engineering team
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias
- Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 HNC)
- Experience within Food FMCG or a similar fast-paced process environment
- Confident fault-finding/programming on automated machinery and PLC-controlled systems.
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure production environment
- Team-focused reliable and proud of the standard of work you deliver
