Maintenance Engineer

Up to 38000

Full-Time Permanent

We are recruiting for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer with fabrication experience to join a busy manufacturing site.

This role would suit a practical hands-on engineer looking to develop their experience within a production environment. It presents a great opportunity to build a long-term career in the manufacturing sector while working across both workshop fabrication and on-site mechanical maintenance.

The Role:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance on engines motors pneumatic tools conveyor systems and production machinery
Fabricate and repair parts using workshop equipment including welding
Support reactive breakdown repairs and general fault finding
Work from engineering drawings manuals and manufacturer instructions
Use measuring and testing equipment to identify mechanical faults
Complete daily maintenance records and required paperwork
Keep the workshop organised and maintain safe working standards
Monitor spare parts and report stock requirements
Communicate with production teams to support smooth operations
Follow health & safety quality and food safety procedures

About You:

Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance workshop or engineering role
Fabrication and welding experience is required
Comfortable carrying out general mechanical repairs and fault finding
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Reliable organised and keen to develop within a manufacturing setting
Committed to maintaining safe working practices
