What you will be doing:

As Director Strategy Digital Small Business you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering a compelling Digital Small Business client vision strategy and roadmap to launch and scale Tangerines Digital Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) and Creator propositions. You will help define the product vision lead the roadmap for the Digital Small Business solution and lead the planning development and launch and growth of high-impact product experiences that raise the bar on quality and client value. The Digital Small Business team is one of Tangerines newest and most strategic growth engines tasked with building a next-generation solution that redefines how we serve the holistic needs of small business clients and strengthens our market position. We are reimagining small business bankingdelivering highly engaging rewarding and seamlessly integrated experiences across the Tangerine ecosystem to deepen client relationships and drive long-term value. This role requires a community and product-oriented leader with a relentless customer-first mindset and a proven ability to set vision prioritize effectively and enable execution. Candidates may come from adjacent industries; success depends on intellectual curiosity the ability to drive strategic collaboration and impact across complex organizations demonstrated executive influence and the capacity to rapidly build deep domain expertise in digital banking.

Is this role right for you In this role you will:

• Strategy & Roadmap Ownership: Define articulate and execute the strategy and product roadmap for Tangerines Digital Small Business offering ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities strategic objectives and client needs. Translate strategic ambition into actionable initiatives measurable outcomes and multi-year plans.
• Client Experience & Insights: Leverage quantitative and qualitative research client feedback and competitive intelligence to uncover unmet needs validate solutions and inform strategic decisions. Continuously monitor market trends emerging technologies and competitor activity to drive innovation and differentiation.
• Product Development & Execution: Lead the launch of high-impact product experiences across Digital Small Business capabilities. Break complex initiatives into phased value-driven milestones balancing short-term wins with long-term strategic investments.
• Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain KPIs scorecards dashboards and OKRs to track progress against strategic objectives. Drive a culture of continuous improvement by applying data-driven insights to refine products experiences and operational processes.
• Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with marketing wealth technology design data operations and other teams to ensure scalable consistent and high-quality experiences. Foster a culture of client advocacy collaboration and innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication: Represent Digital Small Business in executive forums and support the Managing Director in shaping strategic narratives. Prepare and deliver board materials C-suite briefings steering committee updates and other strategic presentations with clarity and influence. Build trust-based relationships with senior leaders cross-functional teams and external partners to drive alignment and execution.
• Strategic Analysis & Decision Support: Conduct regular market research competitor benchmarking and scenario analysis to support strategic planning product investment decisions and prioritization. Translate complex data and research into actionable recommendations business cases and clear decision-support materials for senior leadership.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead develop and inspire a high-performing team. Foster collaboration empowerment and continuous improvement while embedding best practices playbooks and standardized approaches for strategy execution.
• Risk & Compliance: Uphold Tangerines highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. Ensure all initiatives products and processes comply with regulatory requirements and risk management policies.
  
  

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role Wed love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelors degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• 10 years of relevant experience in client experience product strategy or strategy execution roles.
• Proven track record of translating strategic ambition into operational execution and measurable business outcomes.
• Experience leading developing and inspiring high-performing teams.
• Understanding of the SME segment digital product ecosystems and customer lifecycle management is an asset but not required.
• Strategic & Analytical Rigor: Exceptional critical thinking business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to independently analyze data build business cases and synthesize inputs to inform prioritization and investment decisions.
• Client-Centric Mindset: Deep empathy for the client journey with demonstrated ability to embed the voice of the client into product experience and business design.
• Influence & Collaboration: Strong ability to build trust-based relationships and influence outcomes across complex cross-functional stakeholder environments without direct authority. You are able to enable strategic partnerships leveraging your ability to influence and deepen relationships.
• Executional Excellence: Proven ability to manage competing priorities drive accountability and deliver results in fast-paced ambiguous environments.
• Communication & Executive Presence: Compelling communicator with the ability to craft and deliver clear persuasive strategic narratives to senior leadership.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable leveraging quantitative and qualitative insights to drive decisions identify gaps and iterate on business models.
