Job description:
We are looking for a HR Generalist. Reporting to the HR Director you will act as the backbone of the HR department managing the full employee lifecycle. This is a hybrid role requiring a balance between Hard HR (personnel administration compliance payroll support) and Soft HR (recruitment talent development employee engagement). You will be the go-to person for employees and managers alike ensuring operations run smoothly while fostering a positive company culture.
Key Functions & Responsibilities
HR Administration & Compliance (Hard HR)
Contract Management: Manage employment contracts amendments and terminations in strict compliance with local labor laws and aviation regulations.
Payroll Support: Prepare and verify monthly payroll variables (overtime flight hours per diems leaves of absence) to ensure accurate processing.
Legal & Safety: Ensure the company remains compliant with labor legislation and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards.
HRIS Management: Maintain up-to-date employee records in the HR database ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
Talent Acquisition & Development (Soft HR)
Recruitment: Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for various roles (Corporate Ground Staff and Crew) including screening interviewing and coordinating with hiring managers.
Onboarding: Design and deliver comprehensive induction programs to ensure new hires (and flight crew) integrate successfully into the airlines culture and safety protocols.
Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate internal/external learning initiatives to upskill the workforce.
Employee Relations & Culture
Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for employee queries regarding benefits policies and grievances.
Performance Management: Support managers in performance review cycles feedback sessions and disciplinary procedures when necessary.
Engagement: Champion internal communication initiatives and organize team-building events to boost morale and retention in a high-pressure environment.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Labor Relations
Experience: 1-2 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
Languages: Advanced/C1 level of English is mandatory (daily working language). Fluency in Spanish is also required.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Labor Law and experience with Payroll/HRIS systems.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High emotional intelligence and empathy.
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
