DescriptionWe are looking for two Student Assistants to support our activities in the Novo Nordisk Foundations Grant Management Department which is responsible for managing grants awarded by the Foundation.
As a Student Assistant you will work with a group of dedicated professional and highly skilled Grant Officers. You will have a diverse portfolio of tasks and will primarily support the Grant Officers in their daily work across the three teams within the Grant Management Department.
The Grant Management Department is at the core of the Foundations operations and plays an essential role in supporting the Foundations strategy as well as in developing improving and supporting processes related to the Foundations grant-awarding activities. One of the main tasks of GMD is to handle the Foundations many expert committees that implement the decisions of the Foundations Board to award grants for projects. The Job
As a Student Assistant you will be part of the Open Call Team but you will support the entire Grant Management Department. Your tasks will include:
- Handling reimbursements for committee members and applicants
- Assisting with and preparing committee meetings
- Updating the website with new calls for applications grant information committees etc.
- Conducting fact-finding and data collection/registration in our grant management system to improve internal processes
- Providing assistance during internal meetings
- Performing administrative ad hoc tasks in the department including registering grants and rejections filling out budgets screening applications etc.
The working hours will be approximately 15-20 hours a week with flexibility to accommodate your university schedule.
Professional and Personal Qualifications
We are looking for Bachelors or Masters level students who are interested in working on projects that benefit human health and society collaborating with key actors within research development and education in Denmark and abroad and being part of an ambitious and international workplace that is passionate about creating value for society. You need to have at least one year left of your education.
Furthermore we expect the following from you:
- Familiarity with budgets and presentations
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and knows how to prioritise assignments
- Excellent Excel skills
- An interest in data and system optimisation
- Fluency in spoken and written English
As a person you are:
- Detail-oriented and structured
- Flexible able to work independently and possess a collaborative mindset
- Open-minded positive and willing to take on a variety of tasks
