We are looking for a student assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and varied tasks. You will support the team with ad hoc data preparation investigation and analysis data visualisation and other ongoing tasks.
You will join the Impact Management team which works across the full grant value chain from early initiative design to long-term outcomes and impact. We support colleagues in strengthening impact pathways monitoring and evaluation and we generate insights about how the Foundations funding creates impact for people and the planet.
You will work with a broad range of data related to the Foundations grants and initiatives including:
- Grant portfolio data (e.g. funding amounts thematic areas geographies partners)
- Monitoring and evaluation data from funded projects. Examples include demographics bibliometrics patents and company-related data.
- Grant application data
The work involves both structured quantitative datasets and qualitative material that requires synthesis and interpretation.
Your tasks will include a mix of routine tasks and one-off analytical projects:
- Conducting minor analyses
- Supporting data collection validation and structuring
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations and visual materials
- Visualising data for internal use
- Supporting ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities
- Handling various administrative tasks
The working hours will be approximately 15-20 hours a week with flexibility in relation to your studies.
RequirementsWe are looking for candidates who meet several of the following criteria:
- Currently in the 3rd year of a bachelors degree or the 1st year of a masters degree
- Enrolled in a study programme that includes data science statistics economics social data science or a related field
- Proficient in English (written and spoken); Danish is an advantage but not required
- Strong interest in data communication and data visualisation
- Experience with SQL and Python (required)
- Familarity with an Azure environment/Databricks is an advantage but not a requirement
- Solid understanding of basic statistics and data analysis
