Hands on expertise in developing special shop aids Gauges low cost automations etc. Strong expertise in CAD and CAM softwares GD&T design engineering.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Design and develop tools and fixtures as per TRF and product need own the wing-to-wing process TRF to Validation and handover to Production and provide technical support to production team for fixture related issues.
- Prepare and maintain preventive Tool / Fixture maintenance and calibration plant to keep good health of tools/fixtures
- Maintain 100% traceability of each Tools/Fixtures to ensure smooth production
- Work with supplier to take support for Fixture/tool maintenance.
- Provide technical support to recover fixtures/tools deviations.
- Provide dispositions for fixture non-conformance.
- Develop low-cost automation solutions to support productivity and quality improvements.
- Maintain reports of the activities of the tooling department and Apprise Management on Regular basis.
- Support team leader to Identify the materials and equipments requirement for the functioning of Tooling department and raise request for the same in consultation with Management.
- Support Robotics and Automations programs for Tubes & Ducts by developing necessary tools and fixtures and participate in projects.
- Calculations and target settings of tools for all current and new processes support for cost analysis of tools for new projects
- Lead tooling team & guide suppliers on technical topics for new tool development
- Technical supplier assessment for technology & development regarding tooling quality delivery reliability problem management in co-operation with procurement team
- Monitoring tooling audits progress at supplier end & timely closure of open topics.
- Evaluation and modification in tools as suggested by the development department for customer projects as well as of series production.
- Evaluation and support of the purchase team for tooling re-locations. Main lead for the Tool buys off tools at supplier end for new development and Refurbishment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Hands-on tooling engineer who designs validates and maintains production tools/fixtures end-to-end ensuring reliability traceability and fast resolution of issues.
- In-depth knowledge of Tool design & Proficiency in CAD software including Unigraphics and AutoCAD.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Production Engineering with specialisation in tool design.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Tool Engineering with 2 years minimum in the aerospace industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Tool design & Proficiency in CAD software including Unigraphics and AutoCAD.
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with preventive maintenance calibration plans and full traceability systems.
- Proven capability in fixture non-conformance disposition deviation recovery and rapid root-cause/corrective action.
