We are looking for a Training and Certification (T&C) Sales and Business Development Leader for the T&C Australia Dedicated Cloud Public Sector Team supporting Australia National Security and Defense customers to shape and deliver large scale training and enablement strategies that earn trust with customers cultivates cloud talent and delivers impact and results.
As the Sales and Business Development leader for T&Cs Australia Dedicated Cloud Team you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive growth and shape the future of this market for Training and Certification. You will lead a specialist team that includes Business Development Trainers Curriculum Development and Training Operations supporting our Australian federal government customers. Your responsibilities will also include providing regional Public Sector leadership expertise and support for the development and execution of Public Sector growth strategies for the broader Asia-Pacific-Japan (APJ) Region for Training & Certification.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technology sales management background to lead a team of cross-domain specialists as well as effectively represent Training &Certification to senior government officials and decision makers at all levels. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the customers mission product and technical challenges with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions for T&C and our products and services. As a T&C leader you will collaborate with the AWS account team leadership in the National Security and Australian Federal government space to align on account strategies and deepen/expand customer relationships within key accounts. You are a collaborative self-starter who is prepared to lead the team to own define develop and execute on a multi-year growth plan that consistently delivers on revenue targets.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive strategic engagement with senior customer and AWS account team leadership including CIOs and Program Offices to shape enterprise-wide training and enablement strategies for Dedicated Cloud/National Security/Defense
- Coach and manage a cross-functional team including Business Development Curriculum Development Trainers and Operations Specialists in setting team and individual goals and revenue plans
- Meet or exceed all sales and business objectives
- Build & maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts and business updates
- Translate mission requirements and business opportunities to T&C leadership ensuring alignment between customer needs/business requirements and T&C offerings
- Collaborate across teams within AWS and Global Services (e.g. Solution Architects Product and curriculum ProServe) that drive strategic impact for National Security customers and AWS
- Lead cross-functional teams in pursuit of strategic opportunities and mission-critical programs
- Present strategic reviews to T&C leadership on business performance and market opportunities development
- 10 years of technology related sales business development or equivalent experience
- 5 years of sales management experience
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders C-level executives and cross functional teams in Public Sector accounts
- Australian citizenship is required for this position.
- Masters degree or equivalent
- Business development or consulting background experience working with defense national security or government customers at the CxO/Comander level.
- Hold Australian government clearance or have experience with Australian classified programs and secure cloud computing
